About me : Whatever it takes

A life dedicated to Class action, Evolving internationally, Based on a Long-lasting Comparatist approach

As a Qualified Lawyer at the Bar of Paris (2021) and of Buenos Aires (2000), an Associate Professor at Paris-Saclay University with a PhD in a Collective actions in Consumer law, under a comparative perspective at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne Univeristy and the University of Buenos Aires, I wear many hats (litigator, counsel, researcher, trainer, lecturer) driven by the same passion: Collective Redress and Fairness

In different capacities, I have been involved in more than 100 class actions in the last years (collective actions, popular actions, group actions) across 6 countries (the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Belgium, Spain and Argentina).

With an established practice as Strategic Counsel and as a professional Board member of NGOs bringing collective actions in Europe and beyond, I also widely advise colleagues (lawyers) from around the globe engaged or willing to engage in representative actions in Europe and Latin America, as well as third-party funders and class actions service providers.

From a substantive standpoint, my collective Redress practice ranges from consumer and competition law to data breaches, discrimination, environmental infringements, product liability and torts.

Thinking out Loud about Class Actions

My practice goes hand in hand with my academic activities. I am Doctor in Law (2011), with a double PhD from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (France) and University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) on Collective actions in Consumer law. Studies of French and Argentinean law under a comparative perspective (published by Dalloz in 2013).

I am Associate Professor (Maître de conférences de France-HDR) at Paris-Saclay University and lecturer at Assas University (European Union Consumer law). I teach not only Class Actions but also Consumer Law, Distribution Law, Contracts, Comparative Law, International Law, and International Sales. I co-chair the private law research laboratory Institut Droit Ethique Patrimoine (IDEP) at the JeanMonnet Faculty, as well as the Paris-Saclay Legal Clinics. In the past, I lectured in business schools such as ESCP (European and international Universities).

lecture and offer training on Comparative Collective Redress before audiences composed of law students, lawyers, judges and companies. I actively participate in responses to call for tenders regarding Representative Actions, Third-party Funding in Europe and have published internationally around 150 papers (including a book, dozens of chapters and more than one hundred papers).

In 2017, I founded the Observatory of Class Actions and other forms of Collective Redress, an international platform that collects and shares information and analyzes it from an interdisciplinary point of view. It also gathers researchers, in an international network of experts in class actions.
