Collective Redress in Europe: A Contribution on the French Exception

I am pleased to share my contribution to the special issue of Europarättslig Tidskrift dedicated to Collective Redress and Access to Justice.
My article, “Implementation of the Representative Actions Directive in France: Confirming the Myths of the French Exception”, examines the French implementation of the EU Representative Actions Directive within the broader European debate on collective redress and effective access to justice.
The publication also extends the discussions initiated at the conference “Representative Actions in the EU: Practical Experiences & the Protection of Vulnerable Social Groups”, held in Budapest in April 2025 at Pázmány Péter Catholic University.
My warm thanks to Eva Storskrubb and Antonina Bakardjieva Engelbrekt for coordinating this special issue, and to Viktória Harsági for organising the conference and fostering such stimulating academic exchanges.
